musa Vienna: A Centre for Contemporary Art

On Felderstraße, in the heart of the city, musa Vienna focuses on exhibiting and promoting contemporary art as part of the Wien Museum. It shows works from the City of Vienna's art collection, which holds more than 30,000 objects by around 4,500 artists and offers a broad overview of Austrian art production since 1945.

Alongside changing exhibitions covering painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and installations, musa places particular emphasis on emerging artists through its Startgalerie, a first platform for entering the art market.

Art You Can Borrow

A special feature is the Artothek, where Viennese residents can borrow artworks for private use, a direct link between contemporary art and everyday life. Admission to musa is free, open Tuesday through Sunday, and reached via the U2 subway line to Rathaus station.
