Falco Villa: A Tribute to an Austrian Pop Icon

In Gars am Kamp, in the Waldviertel region, stands Falco Villa, a place that keeps alive the life and work of one of Austria's biggest pop icons. In 1987, Falco, born Hans Hölzel, bought the villa, built in 1895/96, and used it mainly during the warmer months as a private retreat away from the spotlight.

Stage Outfits and Personal Keepsakes

Open to the public for guided tours since spring 2024, the villa displays an extensive collection of personal memorabilia, including iconic stage outfits, awards and previously unpublished photographs from the career of Falco, who wrote music history with hits like "Rock Me Amadeus".

The Domestic Side of a World Star

Unlike large museum exhibitions, Falco Villa shows above all the private, domestic side of the artist, offering a glimpse of how he lived away from the stage. The house is now managed by the Falco Privatstiftung, with tours bookable in advance through its website.
