Hotel Zola Vienna: An Urban Hideaway Between Avant Garde and Old World Charm

In Vienna's Leopoldstadt district, inside a historic building not far from the Prater and the Danube Island, sits Hotel Zola. It pairs modern design with the character of a grand 19th century townhouse and takes its name from the French writer Émile Zola, whose sense of story and character is meant to run through the whole house. The design studio Mezza Maisón shaped every room.

The 39 rooms and suites are finished with dark oak flooring, custom furniture, natural textiles and considered lighting, a dense, urban atmosphere that still allows for retreat. Many rooms have large windows, some with balconies overlooking the green inner courtyard.

Zazatam and the Courtyard

The in house restaurant Zazatam serves an open, worldly cuisine inspired by flavours of the eastern Mediterranean and the Levant, cooked over an open fire with high quality base ingredients. A bar and one of Vienna's most planted courtyards round out the offering, ideal for drinks, brunch or a late dinner.

Art and Location

The hotel sits just a few minutes from the Prater, Messe Wien and the Danube Canal, with the Vorgartenstraße metro station carrying guests directly into the historic centre. An in house art collection, a curated music programme and collaborations with local creatives round out the hotel's profile.
