Hotel MOTTO Vienna: Parisian Flair Meets Viennese Savoir Vivre

On the busy Mariahilfer Strasse, Hotel MOTTO pairs Vienna's historic character with the nonchalance of a Parisian townhouse. Inside a listed Art Nouveau building, hotelier Bernd Schlacher, known for Motto am Fluss, built a boutique hotel where the French influence runs from the interior design down to the patisserie on the ground floor.

Art Deco for the 21st Century

The 91 rooms and suites are furnished with fine fabrics, dark wood, brass details and bold wallpapers, drawing on 1920s Paris and reinterpreting it for today. The top floor rooms, with terrace views over Vienna, are especially sought after.

Chez Bernard on the Roof

High above the rooftops of Vienna, the restaurant Chez Bernard serves French inspired cooking with a regional twist beneath a glass dome and panoramic terrace. Chef Benedikt Faast works with seasonal ingredients and a modern touch, while the adjoining bar, with its city views, has become a fixture for evenings over signature cocktails.

Sustainability and Location

Hotel MOTTO leans on sustainable materials, organic products and its own bread shop, whose pastries also reach select cafés around the city. The MuseumsQuartier, the Naschmarkt and the city centre are all a few steps away, with the Neubaugasse metro station right at the door.
